The Chalkboard monitor is an electronic menu/price board that is easily changed by the store operator.
The Chalkboard scans the PowerTill plu item file to determine which items are 'On Promotion'. These items are automatically displayed on the Chalkboard and each item has a comprehensive marketing description, selling price and full-colour image.
Font styles & colours and background images & colours are fully programmable.
Adding a Chalkboard monitor to your existing PowerTill system is simple and inexpensive. There is no charge for the Chalkboard software - you only pay for the monitor hardware and installation. LCD monitors are available from 15" to 42".
Now you can create a new menu chalkboard for your 'specials' every day of the week!

The Counter Monitor is mounted upright (portrait mode) and has been designed to work in pizza outlets and similar fast food stores where the food preparation and cooking can take a relatively long time.
New orders are sent from the POS terminal and appear in the dark grey area at the top of the Counter Monitor. These orders are also sent to the Make Monitor at the same time.
When the order has been prepared it is 'bumped' off the Make Monitor which sends a command back to the Counter Monitor. The prepared order now changes colour to orange and a countdown timer shows how long it will be before the order is ready.
When the countdown timer reaches 00:00 the order is now cooked. It is now boxed and made ready for collection. The background colour then changes to green to make it easy for customers to see when their order is ready.
Now your customers don't have to keep popping in to ask whether their order is ready or how long it will take. Informing your customers of their order status has never been so easy!

The Make Monitor was designed to fit into fast food kitchens where it is used as an alternative to a kitchen printer.
The Make Monitor has a number of advantages over a kitchen printer, namely :-
► Speeds up order preparation. Orders can appear on the monitor as they are being rung up. Kitchen printers will usually print only when the sale is finalised. An international 'fried chicken' chain uses this functionality to get orders to their walk-in customers in under 90 seconds.
► Easy to Read. Items/preps/toppings/voids/delivery address/server name can all be configured to print in different coloured fonts. Now it's easy to differentiate main items from preparation items. It's easy to see when a customers wants additional toppings on a pizza.
► Shuffle Orders. You can view all 98 orders on a single screen then shuffle orders that are to be delivered to the same suburb so they come out of the oven at the same time.
► Timed Orders. Now you can take an order on Wednesday for delivery on Saturday before the big game. The Make Monitor sounds an audible warning when the order has to be prepared, taking into account preparation time, cooking time and delivery time.
► Make-on-Demand Orders. When Burger King sell a burger on the POS terminal the order appears immediately on the Make Monitor so that a replacement can be made and fed down the chute so that optimum stock levels are always maintained.

The sample order (above) shows the length of time the order has been in the system, delivery order number, customer name & delivery address, items ordered and the name of the clerk/server.
